Laura was born and raised in Cologne as the child of a publisher and a journalist. After her bachelor's degree in cultural studies and subsequent film studies at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, Laura first worked as a producer on the feature-length film Zweite Hand and at augenschein Filmproduktion. There she was primarily responsible for the research and script development of mostly international feature films. Laura has spent the last few years more or less in various writers' rooms, writing series and films for RTL+, Netflix, ZDF and ZDF Neo. For the Rollenfang Lab, she led an inclusive writers’ room. Within this think tank, Laura developed new narratives that open up inclusive stories and perspectives. She loves both – collaborating in teams and diving alone into the depths of her worlds and characters. Laura is passionate about empowering unheard voices and deeply believes in the transformative power of stories.
