Kerstin Höckel completed her Master of Arts in drama at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin. While performing on screen and on stage, Kerstin branched out into writing for TV and directing short films around the turn of the century. She has published four novels since 2007.
Over the last 23 years, Kerstin has been writing numerous movie scripts and episodes for series and soap operas. Her ZDF-Primetime series FRITZIE DER HIMMEL MUSS WARTEN became an audience favorite despite the difficult subject (breast cancer), earning Höckel glowing reviews as head writer.
Höckel is courted by diverse production companies for collaborations with streaming services and for the development of book adaptations, dramedy, historical event, motion pictures and TV series.
